If only Bush 43 had just blamed Louisiana

Not that I’m a fan of W but his administration never recovered from the media pounding he took from the hurricane Katrina response. Now we learn how Michael Brown (Bush’s FEMA director) should have responded…”We’re not in charge, the state is”! 😂. Yeah, I’m sure they would have let him get away with that…..my, how it pays to have a sycophant media on your team.
On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” FEMA spokesperson John Mills responded to criticism of the disaster response in Hawaii by stating that there is work that’s being done, but “FEMA’s not in charge, the state is in charge.” And stated that whether the state response is satisfactory is “a question for the state.”

Shame on our DOJ

Pro-life activists Joan Andrews Bell, 74; Jonathan Darnel, 40; and Jean Marshall, 72, were found guilty of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act and conspiracy against rights for blocking access to the Washington Surgi-Clinic, a clinic infamous for late-term abortions. The guilty verdict comes after five other pro-life activists involved in the same blockade were found guilty on all charges in late August.

“This overreaching of power and authority by Biden’s DOJ is egregious and must be stopped. Nonviolent pro-life actions should not be a federal crime, and peaceful people with a desire to save lives should not be jailed for over a decade. Some of these Rescuers could be facing death by incarceration. We must repeal the FACE Act now!” said Caroline Taylor Smith, executive director of PAAU (Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising), a leftwing pro-life group.

Burn down a police station, private property or kick the crap out of a person at a BLM riot, no problem. But pray and try to save the life of the unborn, prison time……in your seventies!

2A Week 4

2A looks to be pretty top heavy. Outside of the top 4-6 I feel like it drops off quite a bit.

1.) CLGLR - 3-0 - Defending champs still unbeaten. Should roll @ Sheldon
2.) Van Meter - 3-0 - Impressive win against Humboldt
3.) West Lyon - 3-0 - WL took it took OABCIG. Looked good in all 3 phases of the game.
4.) Western Christian - 3-0 - Western hammered Pocy to stay unbeaten. Man, district 1 is still loaded.
5.) Osage - 2-1 - Big win over DNH.
6.) Spirit Lake - 2-1 - Took care of business against 0-3 Spencer team.
7.) Cherokee Washington - 3-0 - Good win over sold Ridge View team. D1 LOOKING TOUGH.
8.) Clarinda -- 2-1 - Lost tight one to Treynor.
9.) Greene County - 2-1 - Tough schedule to start the year with 3 straight 3A teams.
10.) Chariton- 3-0 - Dont know much about them but 3-0 is 3-0.

Not many great games entering district play.

Van Meter @ Clarinda -- Van Meter -28.5

Western @Cherokee -- Western -21.5
