Agree with the above. On the street and at the basketball forum at Happy's the word was that Dub. Hempstead may be the best team in the city this year, perhaps a tiny notch above Dub. Senior. But, maybe too close to call. The MVC Conference this year is so rugged that even the good teams are going to have a couple of losses. I mean, when you have a team like Wahlert, with their outstanding junior class, projected near the bottom of the league, you know this is a year that a half dozen other teams will battle IC West and CF for the top. Hempstead (Duax and Duax) and Senior (Carter Stevens and Noah Carter) will give most teams fits this year with their deadly shooting.

I don't see Cedar Falls being as good as expected without LeBeaux. He left PV, so I'm not sure where he is going to be playing this year.

I think Luke did a pretty good job with the rankings. Lots of almost-even teams out there. Season starts in a week or so, and I can't wait. I don't see an overwhelmingly powerful team in 4A that will run the gauntlet with tough schedules that a lot of these teams play. If Oskaloosa is 4A, where do people see them this year? Western Dubuque has everyone back. ?Linn-Mar. Pretty good second-tier of teams. Any comments?

Didn't realize Western Dubuque's Jordan Lake is out for the year after surgery. That takes them down a notch because he was their main man.
