Overview:

After having an outstanding season on the football field, West Lyon will be
hoping that success can carry over to the basketball court. The team
returns their top three scorers from a team that finished 9-12 but has the
potential to turn things around this year. Senior Lance Van Roekel led the
team in scoring at 13.4 points per game and is a tough player to guard.
Also returning from the starting lineup include Chris Tracy, Jordan Te
Grootenhuis, and Thom Cruse. Tracy is only a junior and is one of the top
football players in his class. He had an outstanding year on the football
field and will likely be rewarded with All State honors. This team has the
depth and speed to go far. If they can focus on being consistent all year,
this team could be a dark horse in conference play.
