Team Strengths:

Perimeter play

Question Marks:

Post scoring

Overview:

After having four coaches at the helm in four years, Davenport Assumption is
finally able to get some stability at head coach. Pat Finn returns for his
second year and will be hoping to build off of their 9-7 record in the MAC
Conference. Four players who spent time in the starting lineup but few
others saw much varsity time. AJ Ewen was second on the team in scoring
and is a very versatile player. He can knock down the outside shot as well
as take it into traffic and score. Ewen will need to be even better this
season now that he is a senior. Also keep an eye on Anthony Miller and
Kyle Steinbrecher. Both are All Conference athletes on the football field
so expect that athleticism to carry over to the basketball court. The
Knights will be strong in the guard core but need their post players to step up.
The MAC is loaded with solid bigmen so they will need to defend the likes of L.A
Pomlee and Nick McFarlin.
