Team Strengths:
Unselfishness and eight returning letter winners
Question Marks:
Replacing the leadership role of B.J. Wells
Overview:
Gone from Melcher-Dallas is one of the most talented players in the history of
their program, B.J. Wells. This graduated senior has since moved on to
Grandview College and the team must move on without him. The Saints do
bring back three starters off of a team that finished 20-4 and was ranked for
the majority of the season. They may have fell short of the State
tournament but still had a great season overall. Melcher-Dallas must
replace the leadership role of Wells along with his scoring but the player who
has a lot expected out of him is Jordy Tickle. This senior scored thirteen
points per game last year as the third option but must step up his game.
If the Saints expect to have similar success to last year, Tickle must put up
some solid offensive numbers.
