Team Strengths:
Experience and depth
Question Marks:
Shaking the losing stigma
Overview:
If there is one team in Class 4A who has a chance to make a complete turnaround,
that team would be Dubuque Hempstead. They may have only won four games
last year but the team is loaded with talented. Leading the way is senior
Nate David. This South Dakota commitment averaged a double-double last
season and ended up putting up some monster numbers. The Mustangs also
return three other returning starters, including 7-foot-1 junior David Scott.
This bigman is young but continues to get better by the day. Scott
obviously has a great deal of work ahead of him but will be much improved by the
start of his junior year. Also keep an eye on freshman Josh Lenz. If
he can fit well into the Hempstead lineup, this team could be a darkhorse in
Class 4A.
