"They're releasing violent thugs into our country!" Oh, wait. He just meant brown people. HE was releasing the violent thugs from prison because they are white and supported him...

The man shot dead Sunday by Jasper County police while allegedly resisting arrest has been identified as 42-year-old Hobart, Indiana, resident Matthew W. Huttle, who was among those presumably pardoned last week by President Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol building.
Details are few as the shooting investigation continues, but state police said a deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department stopped a vehicle around 4:15 p.m. Sunday on Ind. 14, east of County Road 475 East.
"During the traffic stop, the officer attempted to arrest the suspect when the suspect resisted," according to state police. "An altercation took place between the suspect and the officer, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect."

It appears the stop was routine and the result of an alleged traffic violation, according to police.

So he FAFO. Sounds like he’s just like the BLM people, yet in that case it’s the cop’s fault.

You'd be crying racism and police brutality if he wasn't white. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Assuming that the story is true, this ****er got what he deserved....just like 99.9% of the people who get shot by the police.

Jackwad doesnt dare look up the recidivism rates of what plentiful violent phuckers were released by Defund the Police DAs - what complete soiled lamb skin it is

Padded stats have them at over 70%. The actual recidivism rates are no lower than 88% however.

For my own edification why was he shot? Did he have a weapon and threaten to use it? Use of deadly force in an arrest for a traffic violation and resisting arrest seems a little extreme.

If you use force to resist arrest, it's entirely possible for you to get shot. Winning a fight vs a cop ain't all that great of an idea.

It's based on the Reasonableness Doctrine. If the use of force is objectively reasonable, it's justified. So if a cop is trying to arrest honk and honk beats that cops ass, and the cop REASONABLY believes that he's in jeopardy of death or serious injury (or another person is), the use of force (deadly or otherwise) is justified and honk is fcked.

...but no, you can't shoot a speeder in the back if he's resisting arrest simply by running away from you. That would be ridiculous and, more importantly from a legal standpoint, UNREASONABLE.

This is why I have friends who are lawyers. Thankfully I’ve never gotten to that point with 5-0, but if I do, there is a smart way to play it until my lawyer shows up and handles it.

Soooo many people I see on the EweToobz and such would have just had a slap on the hand (if that) had they shut their damn mouth and done the same. Instead they end up in cuffs or shot because they can’t help but be a dumbass.

Arguing guilt, culpability or your rights should occur with lawyers and judges. The best you can do with an officer is be polite and see if you convince him your a good dude/chica to where they want to give you a break.

Screaming and arguing won’t go some azzholes way with a cop
We all know one cop who would allow for a good ole "roll tard roll" to escape the clutches of the law.

This, 100%. And you might be right and win the case in court. If that happens the cop will be counseled on his mistake and possibly even reprimanded.

If you resist or obstruct, you are guaranteeing a conviction on at least that charge and giving that cop a pass if he made an initial mistake.

Bottom line is that all officials in the judicial sector deserve civility - you’re asking for a bad day otherwise

In fact, civility should be the default position towards anyone you don’t know - except Honk, phukk him

:D

,I got stopped for a driver’s license check once at a road block where police were looking for somebody. The officer ask for my license and I hesitated a second and I said I need to tell you something first. He stepped back a little and said what. I told him my wallet was in the brief case on the seat next to me and I would have to turn and open the brief case. He didn’t pull it but his hand dropped to his weapon and he said open it. I did and retrieved the wallet and handed him my licenset. He looked at it, handed it back, .said think you and waved me on. They were looking for someone for some reason and I wasn’t about to turn and open at thr brief case with out telling him first.

Speaking of that. I have a concealed carry permit and often have a 9mm in the glove compartment when I travel.

If I am stopped for speeding, license check, etc. should I tell the LEO that I have a pistol in the GC? What say ye @BamaFan1137 ?

I wouldn’t open the glove compartment or anything without telling him. I think I woukd tell him if there was a gun anywhere and show him my permit. You can never tell if subsequent events may come up and cause a problem.

I’m not 1137 but I usually load one in the chamber and put it under my leg so (if things don’t go well) I can get the first shot in.
