If you use force to resist arrest, it's entirely possible for you to get shot. Winning a fight vs a cop ain't all that great of an idea.

It's based on the Reasonableness Doctrine. If the use of force is objectively reasonable, it's justified. So if a cop is trying to arrest honk and honk beats that cops ass, and the cop REASONABLY believes that he's in jeopardy of death or serious injury (or another person is), the use of force (deadly or otherwise) is justified and honk is fcked.

This is why I have friends who are lawyers. Thankfully I’ve never gotten to that point with 5-0, but if I do, there is a smart way to play it until my lawyer shows up and handles it.

The officer ask for my license and I hesitated a second and I said I need to tell you something first. He stepped back a little and said what. I told him my wallet was in the brief case on the seat next to me and I would have to turn and open the brief case. He didn’t pull it but his hand dropped to his weapon and he said open it. I did and retrieved the wallet and handed him my licenset. He looked at it, handed it back, .said think you and waved me on. They were looking for someone for some reason and I wasn’t about to turn and open at thr brief case with out telling him first.
