No, I'm a more classic liberal, or a part of the libertarian left. The problem with the far left is similar to the problem with the far right: the believe in dogma, fantasy, and propaganda over facts. I've said before, that I love getting the panties of Bernie Bros in a bunch as much as I do those of you here of the far right MAGAt crowd. Their insistence on thinking everyone not holding all their exact views is "evil" is just like the people here. There are many, many people on the center right that I have more in common with than on the fringes of the left as ignorance is what plagues the fringes. I'm a capitalist who believes in using some of the benefits for a social safety net that lifts people out of poverty. I'm a libertarian who believes people should often be given the freedom to choose what they do with their bodies, but that this freedom comes with responsibilities and non-legal consequences. I love the ideals that this country was founded upon, but am frustrated with nearly 250 years of America not living up to those ideals outlined in the documents of our brilliant founding fathers. I believe we are a nation that should control its borders and who enters, but believes that America should almost always continue to be the beacon of hope of immigrants to make a better life in, as it had been for many of our European ancestors. So no, don't confuse my caustic style with being an extremist. Not in the least.
