With the rest of the tourney field getting started this weekend, I thought it interesting to see who the 'best of the best' were over the past 14 seasons.
It's a pretty elite group in that only 61 teams out of the 350+ schools in Iowa have made it to the finals since 2000. Only 26 have made it more than once.
I'm sure there are plenty of exceptional teams that aren't on this list due to an unexpected loss during a playoff run. Still interesting to see which teams made it through the gauntlet and into the finals.
Please point out any errors, I assembled the list from the stat book and could have inadvertently transposed a result.
