Overview:

Spalding Catholic saw four of their starters leave last year due to graduation.
Although only one of them averaged double digits, each one played a significant
role on the team. That means that the players returning for the Spartans
must step up their game to replace those players. Only one starters
returns and that honor belongs to Jeff Streff. This senior averaged six
points and four rebounds per contest. The leading returning scorer is
Justin Plathe. Although he didn't start, he averaged 6.5 points per game.
If this team expect to improve on their 1-8 conference record, a number of the
more inexperienced must be ready for the challenges of varsity basketball.
That will determine how successful this team can be.
