Team Strengths:
Four returning starters
Question Marks:
Developing depth
Overview:
With four returning starters and a very talented senior class, it is no wonder
that Northeast Gooselake starts the 2005-2006 among the top teams as rated by
IowaPreps.com. The leading scorer for this team is only a junior, Dylan
Diedrich. He is an outstanding player who averaged over seventeen points
per game and is an underrated athlete. If teams focus too much on Diedrich,
Timon Brooks can step up. This senior averaged double-digits last winter
and may see a bigger role offensively. If it obvious that the Rebels have
a lot of talent on this team but they must develop a bench in case of injuries
or foul trouble. But with the success that Northeast Gooselake has had
over the past few years, this team team will be tough to beat with or without a
deep bench.
