Team Strengths:
Depth and player versatility
Question Marks:
Varsity experience
Overview:
Another team that will have a much different look this winter is Marion.
Three starters are now graduated and that includes nearly thirty points per game
of scoring. As for the players returning, the Indians do return three
starters. The trio spent last year more as role players but will see their
roles expand as the year goes on. Ben Messerli is a very talented football
player and will likely be named All State for the second consecutive season.
As for his basketball skills, he may be a bit undersized but he plays extremely
hard and finds ways to score. Also keep an eye on Jake Cram and Eric
Hanna. Both spent time in the starting lineup last year and will have to
step up their play if Marion can improve on their 11-5 record in-conference from
last year.
