What years did you play? I know GMG has had limited success as we used to play them in high school and I remember seeing some state participation signs on their scoreboard. However, I've known them for many years as a doormat. When we played, it was always hard fought and that's not saying much.

I graduated in 2005, and started all 4 years. So I played in the football season from 2001-2004. 2001 we were 4-5, 2002 we were 1-8, 2003 we were 3-6, and my senior year 2004 we were 2-8. What years did you play GMG? We were STATE CHAMPIONS in 1986, and won our district in 2001.
Omg he is throwing out state titles from 86 really? From calculations that is around the year you was born if you graduated in 2005. You say you won your district in 2001 with a 4-5 record really? Haha wow. I may have to check on that. This guy is funny haha. Dude i would not tell kids to play like you if your records were that bad when you played jmo.
We were only in Class A my sophomore and junior year, so the Fall of 2004 and 2005. I believe we lost both times.
I am guessing Janesville or Tri county is where you went to school? That is the only two teams we beat both those years.
Also, big news coach will be back on the sidelines for this game in Garwin!! Iowa Valley better pick up a couple extra kids to cover Bryce this game, coach already said we are going to throw him the ball 20 times this game. Last game he had 6 catches for 128 yards and 1 TD, just imagine 20 catches!
Janesville it is sir. In 2004, all you had to do was play NCAA to scout us. In 2005, we had a first year head coach that really didn't know what he was doing...Those were the good ol days.
Well, what do we have to lose? We can really mess up the BGM season by knocking them off, and even better it is in Brooklyn!
I think the stars have aligned for the Wolverines this week! We have a completely different defense ready for Burns and the BGM cubs!

BGM JV wouldn't even be a good game in the first 5 min. of the game! I still say GMG by at least 2 TD's friday over the Varsity Winnie The Pooh Bears....
GMG will be in the game and has a chance to win on Friday......if.....they can hold BGM's Massengale under 100 yards rushing. They should definitely load the box and make BGM show they can pass.
I told you already we have a new defensive plan for Friday! We have the kids to load the box, and to go one on one with the WR and DOMINATE this game!

It was a great game, and close right up to the end. We gave up a couple touchdowns late so it looked worse than it was. We had them on the ropes throughout most of the game. Now we get our win against North Mahaska, which we have beat the last two years!

Was not ever close, your team got manhandled, can't throw, can't catch and can't run. Your coach even got unsportsmanlike for yelling/threatening opposing player. You are going to have a perfect losing season with the attitude that is shown. BGM could of scored 80 but took foot off your throat after 1st quarter. It's fine to root for your team and have pride but you are ridiculous. Show some respect and you will receive respect, you should of learned this in kindergarten. Can't wait until next year to play you! Best wishes on the rest of your season. muzzle your coach.

I'd agree, I would be interested to hear what was said. My assumption is that he was protecting one of his players in a game that was out of hand.

Best part is having North Mahaska this week. We go back to their field where we beat them by a hail mary last time we played them there! Then we ran all over them last year!

I agree here -- Mr. GMG Wolverine 2005 may be a total homer, but in this case he is right. If you're going to call out the head coach for saying something inappropriate to an opposing player, (that's a pretty severe accusation) than you need to back that up and be specific.
Otherwise we'll just assume he was chewing out a ref or something and was mis-heard.

Said after a tackle, "Nice head-but!" Then he said, "Why don't you come over here tough guy." It was directed at a player and he then argued with the ref and got a 15 yard penalty. That's a role model if I ever saw one.
Take it for what it is my son doesn't lie, what do you want sign affidavits from the team? I'm sure it was heat of the moment, that's football.
BGM is over and done with. We let that game slip away from us in the last couple minutes, but I know for a fact we will win this game. I heard one of the players talking that Coach said we are going to to do ANYTHING to win this one!
WOW! A hometown paper makes their team sound like they killed us in the game, what a shock. Interesting it says nothing about our coach threatening your child.
Gmg, you really are a special kind of stupid if you think losing with a running clock is "letting the game slip away in the last few minutes"

I am over the BGM game... Let's start talking about the North Mahaska game in New Sharon tonight! Ryan has hit his stride going for 165 yards rushing last week against BGM, he is probably going to be over 200 tonight against the Warpigeons!!!
