Former North Tama, Grundy Center Football Coach Fired!

Did anyone else see that former North Tama, Grundy Center, and current (kind of) Independence coach was fired last week at a board meeting!

If I remember correctly, the parents of Independence ran off some coaches a few years back due to threats regarding their children's playing time. It doesn't sound like this is a school district I would want to be employed by.

I think that was different since they "quit" and this is fired in the middle of the school year.

I think if you read the newspaper article you can figure what the problem was. Like stated before this isn't an isolated instance as both previous schools had some of the same issue.

My sources tell me it was code of conduct violations for both for inappropriate actions on school grounds and he (as AD) having a relationship with a subordinate (she is a coach)

yea, im hearing rumors of the same. seems to be about innapropriate something or other using school property. He is a very good coach. but its the off the field stuff that gets him in trouble. Man, his wife and kids are the ones suffering! tough.
Not a great role model for young players to follow.

I have two ideas on this...

1 someone walked in on something they weren't suppose to...

2 they were working together to get him some extra food to pay for his 4 kids...
