Can Emmetsburg get by South Hardin? Quite the opposing styles in that one. E'burg gonna line up and run it at you and South Hardin gonna spread you out and take chances down the field. DNH should take care of South Hamilton pretty easily I would guess. BCMoore has them winning by 55.

I think South Hardin takes that game pretty easily. I really think that Grundy and DNH are the top two teams, then there are 4 or 5 teams that can could claim to be 3rd and South Hardin is one of them and probably Regina, Wilton, Treynor and Hinton.

Some good games here. SF hasn't given up a point in the playoffs (2 shutouts), but obviously they haven't seen a team like GC.

Underwood doesn't have the athletes it had last year (other than Luett at QB), but they know how to win and have made the Dome a lot in recent years. Don't count them out this Friday.

As it should be. Those two teams have rolled everyone they've played (other than each other). DNH played GC tough in week 1. I believe DNH scored first, and then GC scored 3 unanswered TDs in the second half. DNH is the only team with a chance to knock off GC. I don't predict either semifinal will be close.
The talent between Dike and Grundy Center is impressive for one county. Grundy Center made it look easy in the semis, that is for sure.
As expected dnh vs GC. Hinton made a strong effort at the end but time ran out on them. Interesting that the Wilton QB didn’t run much vs GC. I suppose the game planned to bottle him up. That’s a tuff defense they have. Should be a solid championship game. I would assume similar score to first game they played
Yeah, all boy sport tournament games have been $$. Current admin doesn't like it and I believe will go back to free once they are out of their contract.
Is the boys Union ever going to wise up and drop IHSSN? IPTV does a great job with the girls, and they stream everything on youtube, there has to be a better option. I've thought for years that the IHSSN announcers are some of the worst as well.
The finals are free, and mediacom 22 owns the broadcasting rights, we all know how much of an unmitigated cluster **** they are. I couldn’t even stream it last week.
It was a fun season, the finals were a play or two away from being close, or an absolute blow out. Sounds like DNH loses a ton, so I'm not expecting them back. I am assuming GC rolls in with the preseason #1 ranking next year as well.
Dike will reload and still be fine, maybe not title contenders, but still a quality team. I think the big question for whether or not Grundy can make it four in a row is if West Lyon drops down or not. That is the type of team who could beat Grundy Center, big and physical, the teams who have challenged them the last 3 years, and beat them in the last 6 have been able to compete with them up front, I don't think anyone in the last 3 years has beaten them up front, but their close games against DNH, Waterloo Columbus, East Buc, those teams were at least competitive with them up front, and when they lost to Regina and West Hancock those teams beat them up front.
Hancock beat them up front, and grundy wore East buck down, most small schools won’t have a Cody Fox type either. Regina threw the ball all over grundy, and dike did well in the passing game last night. I think opening up the passing game is the key to beating grundy.
