So am I... first time I was old enough to vote for a POTUS. I had intended the whole time to vote for Ford, but got in the booth and thought, 'you know, Ford really hasn't done that much and Nixon just handed him the job... and Carter is a good ol' southerner... I'll just vote for him.'
I have regretted that decision ever since... and have never voted for a DEM POTUS since.

I chose to not vote for president in 2008 (my first election I could vote in) and 2016. In 2016 I would’ve voted Trump if it was a popular vote.
2008 I was just disgusted with McCain as a nominee. Didn’t want an Obama presidency but hoped if he won, that the country would see the awful path he’d be taking us down and correct course in 2012. I guess I underestimated the amount of stupid people in this country. McCain proved the piece of shit he was from 2008 to his death, so I don’t really feel bad about not voting for him.

Couldn't stand Trump as the nominee. I didn't want to vote for a 90s Democrat, and since I was in Alabama I didn't have to. If push came to shove and it was a true popular vote I would've held my nose and voted for him.
Still held my nose and voted for him in 2020 and 2024, as much as I don't like him.
If we had an honest media that did its job rather than pick sides and play politics, that's exactly what would have happened.
I don't see how we'll ever recover without an honest fourth estate. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.
