Looks like the Girl's Union did a nice job of separating the top teams again.

Wish the boy's association was paying attention.

Yeah, it's definitely seeded according to their rankings and it holds up pretty good in the BC Moore rankings as well. The top 8 teams in the Jan. 19 IGHSAU rankings each essentially got a number 1 seed, and there are no more than 2 ranked teams in each region. The biggest difference is in Region 3, where the computer doesn't think much of Mt. Ayr (#8 association, #35 by the computer). They did Mt. Ayr a favor by splitting them from #3 Central Decatur despite only being 25 miles apart. But Logan-Magnolia (#11) also gets a break by going east to Mt. Ayr's region instead of having to play Treynor (#2) potentially for the third time.

Wish we could say the same for the 1A brackets according to the BCMoore rankings.

#1 Kingsley-Pierson has #6 Newell-Fonda, #12 Algona-Garrigan, and #16 GT/RA on the opposite side of their bracket.
#3 Exira/EHK has #5 Westwood and #7 Akron-Westfield in their bracket.

3 of the top 8 teams won't make it to state no matter what, but somehow Glidden-Ralston (#13) and Kee Lansing (#15) get their own bracket.

With IA bracket for region 7 using the BCMoore rankings Springville is tops ranked number 2, and then next highest is Grandview Christian at 28 then GMG at 44, with none of those teams other than Springville ranked in the Unions top 15. I realize it can be kinda hard to seperate teams, but you have to like the bracket if you are from Springville.
