Word is that a kid by the name of Tucker Fowler from Sigourney recently threw the shot a whopping 55 feet. He has been constantly throwing 51's and 52's. Expect to see him make a run for the state medal

From a serious standpoint, the top 4 throwers in 1A are all within about 5 inches of one another so it should be a pretty good, close shot put event.
