“Everything has been going smoothly. We have a great group of guys with lots of talent.”

“My goal going into every game is to win. Whether or not I do good or not isn’t as important as the outcome.”

How do you feel your team has played?

What do you feel your team can improve on?

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“As I said earlier, we have the talent. Now it’s about being disciplined and consistent with our effort, 2 things Coach P has emphasized.”

..............................................
Q&A with Waukee Northwest quarterback Sam Johnson
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“I think this season has gone very well so far. Obviously the loss to Johnston hurts but I think we have played good football through two games.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I have been happy with how I’ve played so far and thought I have been strong in both the run and pass game.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I think the team has kept improving every week and we are definitely battle tested playing 2 top 5 teams the first 2 weeks against Waukee and Johnston.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think I'm in order to continue to succeed this season. We need to be able to establish the run game better and that starts with me and the whole offense.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“I think taking care of the football and making smart plays while continuing to mix run and pass will be big keys for us.”

..............................................

..............................................
Q&A with Montezuma quarterback/point guard Brady Boulton
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The season has been going pretty well so far. We have gotten off to a 2-0 start with a win over a top 5 team, but we’re looking forward to improving as the season continues.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“This season was going to be somewhat new to me as I was stepping into the starting QB role. Luckily, I have a great three guys up front and a bunch of skill guys around me who make the job easier. I've been happy with the first couple weeks, but obviously see a lot of room for improvement.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I am very proud of the way we have shown up the first two games of the year. The seniors have done a great job leading and bringing the team together. Our coaches have put us in a good position to succeed early on as well. We took care of business in game 1 and then just got a big win over a good Southeast Warren team.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“The biggest thing for us right now is doing our jobs every play. Our coaches preach that to us day in and day out. They have put us in a great system and we know that if you do your job, your teammate will do his, and that leads to making plays.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“A key to our success is staying healthy. We have good depth all around, but staying healthy would be big for us. Another key is improving each week. No matter who we play that week or what happens, we have the goal of coming to practice to improve and get better every day.”

..............................................
Q&A with Winfield-Mt. Union athlete Jake Edwards
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The football season has been going great so far, I have only played one game. We played #3 central city and pulled out a tough win that was great for the team.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I have been kind of pleased with how I played so far, making your first start against the #3 team in the state are going to come with some nerves that I feel like I handled well and played to my ability.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I think our team has played great so far. Everyone was making big plays on both sides of the field, so I feel like if we keep it up, we could be pretty hard to beat.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“Honestly I feel like our team could improve with the pre-game stuff, like staying hydrated during the week. We had a decent number of players go down with cramps and I feel if everyone could stay hydrated and not cramp we could play to our full ability.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Our keys are to play 100% every play and every time we touch the field. And also to stick to our roles, if we each can complete our roles how we should, it makes us play to the best of our ability.”

Let’s try something, just humor me leftists.

You claim “walls don’t work” and they’re a waste of money. Well, we’ve seen no walls and no enforcement SURE AS HELL doesn’t work. So let’s spend a week’s worth of Ukraine war funding on finishing Trump’s wall…….ALL THE WAY and let our border enforcement agents do their job and see if we can have less than 3 million illegal crossings in a year……that’s assuming you want a reduction…..which we all know isn’t the case.
BTW, if you think none of the now estimated 30 million illegals aren’t going to cast ballots in the next election, then you believe Bama has a Heisman QB this year.
