Why not the Villages? Don’t you like pussy?
The Woodlands is composed of several villages and is not a city. About 125,000 people lived here. I live in a senior facility with about 150 or more people. It has 4 floors in independent living, 1 floor of assisted living and 1 floor of memory people which is the 3rd floor. You have to have a special fob on your key ring to get the elevators to stop on 3. They don’t allow the people on that floor to leave without an escort to make sure they get back.
There is a dining room and 3 meals are served daily. You can eat in the dining room or have carry out to your apt. Food is so so, but healthy. The meals are included in your rent.
There are a lot of daily activities and even outing to restaurants and arts activities. Transportation is provided. There is a heated swiming pool and activities such as a social hour at 4pm every evening. They serve wine, beer and occasionally blood lMary’s and margaritas on the house. Limit is 2 drinks, but the social hour is only an hour so. There is ptofessional entertainment once a week. There are a lot of other activities such as yoga, card games, dominos, bingo, Spanish lesson, painting etc.
Nearly everyone here is really nice and mostly professional type people such as Doctor, lawyers and Indian chiefs, so they are fairly affluent to pre tty well off. One guy even lost about $4MM in the stock market last year and it didn’t seem to bother him. There are several ladies over a 100 years old and several at 99. They are very active. it surprised me,
I don’t do much here as I play bridge about 4 1/2 days a week, leaving the building. A lot of people envy me going out every day.
This is about as nice as it gets to retire and not worry your family. They still come to see me and I’m in contact almosr daily with different ones.
Just a look at potential future for you youngster.
