No West Bend Mallard on the top 16 list? They played a tough (7-1) GTRA tough and have a chance to force a 3 way tie for 1st in D2 if they beat MMC this upcoming week.

West Bend-Mallard is a scary team, now that they are healthy. If they can beat MMC they will be in the top 16. They are going to be a scary team come playoffs regardless of what seed they get. However for ranking purposes, tough to slide a 4-3 team in there over a few. Like I said earlier they could be a very tough match up come the playoffs and it wouldn't shock me if they make a deep run.

I feel you. If they lose to MMC they'll be a 4-4 three seed for the playoffs. They're a better team than what their record shows. I hope GTRA, WBM, and MMC all go different directions come playoff time. A rematch in the quarterfinals or down at the dome would be fun to watch!

You're right, there isn't many teams up here for 2/3 seeds to play. However, if assuming GTRA gets second they could get matched up with 3 seed North Iowa instead of 3 seed WBM. If D2 teams are going to play I want it to be as deep into the playoffs as possible. Looking at the iahsaa website, "A 125-mile limitation for 1st round games is in place for classes 3A, 2A, 1A, A, and 8 player." What I'm getting at is the state has other options than just close in district games. They can find other teams in that 125 mile radius.
