Saint Albert plays for their 17th district title since 1999 tonight at home against Tri Center. Good luck to all teams around the state. The playoff decisions will be very interesting based on grouping and how they determine
St. Ansgar is up 23-14 at the half.
St. Ansgar has once again had a lot of penalties this week.
They had a 99 yard touchdown drive in the 2nd quarter after a good punt by Newman. Newman jumped offsides on the PAT and st ansgar subsequently tried for 2 and failed. Newman then scored on a long run their first play of the next drive.
St. Ansgar was able to drive down to the 5 yard line before settling for a field goal at the end of the half.
Newmans touchdowns came on a fumble return and a long run that broke free.
St. Ansgar has had over 250 yards rushing in the first half.

Newman came out and kicked a successful onside kick to open the 2nd half and scored quickly. 23-21 now with 11 minutes left in the third.
Looks like it will be an exciting 2nd half.
