I don't mind the penalty, I get the reasoning from a player safety standpoint, but he ejection part of it is absurd. It should only be an ejection if it happens twice in a game.

Or follow the nba flagrant calls. Some are almost an accident, others are flagrant and malicious. And while they’re at it, reinstate the 5 yd incidental facemask.
