ROUND 2 UPSET ALERT

(I was very impressed) D-NH SOPHMORE running back Trent Johnson ran 30 times for 325 yards and four touchdowns.

Thank you BlameIt [/B]for putting amounts of pressure on the South Winn defense, especially their pass defense. You were right that SW hadn't seen a team pass like North Cedar. If you looked at QuikStats today, Johnson & Co. may have had 400 passing yards, Malaby may have had 15 catches for 200 yards, but they only put up 14 points. Johnson's 2 INT's really hurt them, and they had absolutely no answer for SW's rushing attack who put up 415 rushing yards (a new school record) on a team who many would have considered a top 10 team in the state.

South Winn is arguably one of the best teams in the state, and I think they have proven it week in and week out. Hats off to a good season for West Branch (who may have been a little overrated), but the fantasy of Regina and West Branch in the Dome is going to have to wait for another year. From the looks of it, the Bears had to outscore the Knights, whereas the Warriors just straight outplayed them. Getting to Johnson with a 3 man rush really helped the Warrior pass defense, along with giving up only 1 big play when the game was already out of hand. Just too many weapons for this South Winn offense, and a solid Warrior defense that takes any task head on.

As to gdkid2010 [/B]saying "lol" to a DNH upset of West Branch, they had their own Johnson (Trent) & Co. as the Wolverines came to play.
