What AAU team are you playing for this off-season? How did the spring portion of the season go?
“I play for the Central Iowa Young Guns and we did good in the spring. We learned how to keep calm in tough situations and just keep playing if things aren’t going right.”
What are your goals for the AAU season?
“To get some exposure to our program and some of our athletes’ names because we have a handful of great players who are good enough to move onto the next level. We just have to turn some heads and get exposed to college coaches.”
How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“I believe we will be really good this year as we are returning every varsity player besides two so we have the chemistry and talent to beat some teams next year that will help us get far in the postseason.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2019-2020?
“Our toughest game would either be against Des Moines Christian or Panorama because they both are teams full of athletes and excellent players. In the end, it just comes down to who is going to give more effort to secure the win.”
Who is the toughest individual player you will play against this winter?
“It would be between Braden Gibbons or Curran Ingram. Braden is good at creating for his teammates and he can knock down shots from the 3 whenever he wants, plus he has the quickness to get to the basket at will. Curran is an explosive player around the rim, and he is very good at creating space off the dribble and he has the ability of knowing when a teammate of his is open when he draws the help defense. They are two great players and they both help their team and outstanding amount.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
