What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been in the weight room five days a week lately. Coach Stew, our strength coach, has great workouts for all of us to do that we all are committed to and we love getting in the weight room.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel like I have gotten stronger and have just become a better overall athlete since last year.”

What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I want to become faster and more explosive before next year.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I think we will be very good. The goal is always to make it to the Dome, and I think we have a shot at that. We lost a lot last year, but we also got a lot of talent coming up. There will be a lot of competition within the team, which will help us become the best team we can be.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think Western Dubuque and Iowa City West will be the toughest teams on our schedule. We lost to WD last year in the quarterfinals, so there is some extra motivation for that game. They are a talented team with a lot of players returning from last season. Iowa City West is consistently a very good 4A team who will be a physical and talented team.”

Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“We open against Iowa City West at home. They got us last year in the opener, so of course you always want to avenge that from last year. They are a good team and it will be a hard-fought game to open the season.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I am interested in playing college football if the right opportunity comes along.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Bemidji State University, University of Sioux Falls, Augustana University, Drake University, and Iowa Central have invited me to their junior days.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I went on junior days visits to Bemidji State University, University of Sioux Falls, and Drake University. Augustana University and Iowa Central have also invited me to junior days that I could not attend.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I don’t have any plans to make any more trips.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I am signed up for camps at Drake University and Sioux Falls. I am still making plans to attend others as well.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I am a Hawkeye fan at heart. Growing up, I’ve always loved Iowa football. My dad is a huge Hawk fan and that just transferred over to me.”
