What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been lifting as much as I could throughout my track season, but now that track is over, I have been really excited to give my workouts 100% of my attention.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since last season, my confidence and understanding of the game have improved a lot. Because I have a year of varsity football under my belt now, I have a better understanding of how the game works. Now it is time to get my body in the best shape possible.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“This year, I am playing quarterback so this off-season I will work on understanding the game from a quarterback position as well as at DB. I will try to be as mentally though and focused as I can be as the season approaches.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“We have a strong district, but we have lots of returning seniors and I have the upmost confidence in my teammates. I'm looking forward to working out with my teammates this summer to prepare for the season.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Ankeny Centennial will be an important game for us on the road. At home, Southeast Polk will be a fun game. We will have to be prepared for every week though.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“Week one we play Mason City. Mason City has always been Fort Dodge's biggest rivalry, so it will be a very exciting game to start off the season with.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Grandview has offered me, but I have been in contact with South Dakota, South Dakota State, and other schools in Iowa.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have gone to Morningside’s junior day.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I am not sure what colleges I am going to visit yet, but I will for sure be making more trips.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer
“This summer, I am have signed up for Lindenwood, Kansas State, South Dakota, South Dakota State and that's all I have signed up for at the moment.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have always loved the Iowa Hawkeyes since I was a little kid.”
