What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Track has really helped me to stay in shape and get faster for the season. I have also been really attacking the weight room and getting a lot stronger.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel like I improved a lot on my technique, especially for coverage and 1 on 1 situations. I also feel like I've gotten a lot stronger than last season.”

What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I want to improve on the offensive side of the ball a little bit more so that I can consistently help my team on both sides of the ball. I also still need to put on a little bit more pounds.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“At the end of the last season, everyone on the team knew that our record didn't define how good we actually are. I definitely think we can get a few more wins this year.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think the toughest team to beat will have to be Cedar Falls. They played in the championship last year with a junior quarterback and even though they will lose some keys guys, I still think they will be the team everyone will want to beat.”

Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“We play Linn-Mar in our season opener and even though we beat them last year, I think they will be a little bit better. I also think we can put a lot more points on the board against them and still come out with a win.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would really enjoy the opportunity to play sports after high school. Right now, if I got to pick, I would prefer to play football, but It doesn't matter to me. I would take any opportunity I could get.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The only college that has given some interest is Iowa Central, but other than that, not a lot of schools have contacted me.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any trips to colleges yet, but hopefully by next year this changes.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Hopefully if I do well this year, more schools will start to pursuit me and I can start to visit more schools.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I have already done a camp at UD in my hometown, and I also plan to attend UNI, Iowa State, and Iowa.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was Iowa. I used to go to a lot of football and basketball games as a kid and I really enjoyed it. I haven't gone to as many as in the past, but I go to at least once a year now.”
