“I’ve been working out five days a week at 6 every morning and lately I’ve been running some miles after with a teammate.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel as if my football IQ has gotten better, especially with coverages, and I’ve gotten bigger/stronger.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I’m going to try to get my weight up, get stronger, and get faster before the season starts.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel like we can do better than last year, a winning record for sure.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I haven’t even looked at the schedule yet so I couldn’t tell you. We’re going to treat every game the same though, so I’m not too concerned with anyone.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“Once again I have no clue. It doesn’t really matter to me.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yeah, I want to play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve gotten letters from around 9 states about camps and visits and I’ve gotten multiple letters from those states. So far, I’ve only been on visits to Drake, Grinnell, and I’m going to Wartburg later this month.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest (skip question if this does not apply)?
“Grinnell has been recruiting me pretty hard. The coaches there email me and send me letters in the mail a lot.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve made trips to Grinnell and Drake so far.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I’m going to Wartburg for a football visit.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I’m going to football camps for Grand View and Drake for sure this summer, but I have no idea if I’m going to go to any more. As a team, we are going to one this summer, too.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve always liked Iowa State since my mom went there, but I’ve always gone to Iowa games with friends.”
