Team Strengths:
Balanced attack and work ethic
Question Marks:
Rebounding
Overview:
Another team that was struck hard by graduation was Maquoketa Valley. The
Wildcats said goodbye to four starters and need to continue working so that they
can avoid the rebuilding process. After losing four starters following the
2004-2005 season, the team was able to reload and head coach Scott Kriegel is
hoping for similar results this year. Jeremy Dircks is the only returning
starter and he did a nice job finding his senior teammates and putting them into
a position to score. But outside of him, Maquoketa Valley only brings back
four other players who saw much time at the varsity level. If players can
step up, look for the Wildcats to have a balanced attack offensively that is
tough to stop.
