***** IN GAME THREAD - Don Bosco vs. Newell-Fonda *****

Maybe a slightly closer game with those two in but still the same end result. Bosco had 3 or 4 guys tackling the ball carrier on every play so 1 linemen wouldn't have made a difference. NF's QB's accuracy wasn't great all game either so even Randy Moss wouldn't have gotten to most of those balls.
When you're missing your two best players in 8 man it makes a huge difference. DB probably still would've won, you're right.

Great game for the Dons. I feel bad for those two young men from NF. Worked their tails off all year to miss the playoffs in the dome. Had a similar feel to last year when we lost Svoboda. Unfortunately, that is sports. Congrats to NF on a great season, and best of luck on healing up to those two boys.

That's all I'm saying. Don't give a compliment and give the "ya but". We don't want it if that's your stance. Our fans got ripped last year for saying that once Svoboda went down so I'm certainly going to do the same.
I'm not a fan of either team. Just stating a fact. I wasn't on Iowapreps last year, so I don't know what all went on. So I'm going to give credit where it's due. You can say whatever you want but I'm saying it wouldve definitely been a better game if those two were in for NF.

And i agreed. I did assume you were a NF fan tho and I was wrong.

I was 50/50 going in, but wow DBs defense was impressive. That was more impressive than Boscos semifinal win vs AC a couple years back. Was there any sort of fewest yards allowed record set today? DBs offense was a little concerning, but part of that was probably the situation (comfortable lead, killer D, just grind it out. And obviously a very good opponent.)

Unfortunately for Bosco, they're going to need that D effort again plus a little more if they have any shot of slowing down that MMC QB. That kids a beast who looks capable of winning a shoot out by himself. It should be fun, DB hasn't seen a single athlete like him yet, and on the flip side, he hasnt seen a team D like bosco yet.

I agree, the kid is a stud! But its harder to shut down a more rounded team than a one man show.

MMC is definitely not a one man show from what I've seen. lots of playmakers on that team rather than just the qb. They're a grind it out team that really turns it on in the second half especially and that will be the key to the state championship game.

MMC doesn't rotate much. Specht is going to get gassed when he sees the depth of Bosco's team. Not having a break can really tire someone out, especially when they're running most of the time. Doesn't matter what shape you're in. Will definitely be an interesting matchup. Cannot wait to see the outcome.
