running the the third leg of the 400m relay in the finals, and falling hard 50 meters from the hand-off. Assume it was a hydration problem. I thought it was classy of them to complete the run.

One of the officials at the finish line said she tripped on the rail, but I was on the complete opposite side of the infield from where it happened, so I couldn't see for sure.

I'm glad they finished the race.

An incredible show of unity and teamwork!
This coach, school and community should be extremely proud of the way these teammates supported a fallen athlete in a very difficult time!
This is what Catholic Schools are all about. Not to say a public school team would not do the same, but I have to believe some of what this school teaches was brought out during this race.
Forget recruiting athletes, this school recruits beautiful young children and molds them into caring compassionate men and women.
I firmly believe Knight Nation is MORE proud of this Second Place Finish then Wahlert is rightfully proud of their Championship!
