This game should be a classic as we have a district rematch between two very sound squads. Heelan got the first game in a high scoring affair. I think it will be a shootout once again but Heelan’s balanced attack of Clark and Bianchini will once again tip the scale to Heelan as they will come out of the rematch with a 45-38 victory.


#13 Glenwood @ #16 Carroll

This will be another very good first round game. Glenwood is coming into the game with a lot of momentum with a big win over DC-G. Carroll has quietly put together a nice season behind the running of Pauk and quarterback Molinksy. However the combo of Wilwerding and Decker and riding momentum from a short week will get Glenwood the win on the road. The Rams win 31-24.

Chow what's your reasoning for picking Deborah over Independence??? That's pretty much you're only upset you picked considering Decorah has a losing record and already lost once to Independence as well as losing their final two games of the season to Charles City and not even close game to W.D.

Solon took 1st lead on last play of the game and Washington's QB went out in 4th Q. with broken arm.
Solon was the best team on the field that night but it was a thriller for them.

Decorah gave up two early turnovers for Indee points in the first game. After that, it was a wash. Though I am a bit biased, I am not at all surprised by this result. Indee had a great season, but once Holt was neutralized, they didn't have a lot else to throw at you. Great job by the coaches from Decorah on finding a way to do just that, and great job by the players to execute the plan.

Heelan,Harlan ,indee and Washington all lost to teams they beat earlier in the year is this normal or is this a strange year?To me it says a lot about the good coaching around the state.
