I can't see Grinnell 3 and 4 hours away from 2 of their opponents. If the numbers the Gazette put are correct, and I will say I question CR Washington (because I think they may take in Metro High Students) and I question Dubuque Wahlert, this is what I came up with.

I tried to combine geography and previous success, my guess is that they won't have an east and west like I do, because there is more powers on the west, but this could work.

The 8 man districts were a struggle for me
I can't see Grinnell 3 and 4 hours away from 2 of their opponents.
Politics is at hand here. Certain schools will still get their preferred placements in what classes they want. My guess is that was set to change for some of them and there is a push back of sorts. Otherwise, why is it taking an extra 6-7 weeks to put out classifications. At this rate we will not know districts or schedules until April or May.
They could at least explain why the process is taking so long!! Or what is causing the holdup.
Unfortunately a lot of Iowa kids will need another year to make up too...unless they were fortunate to attend a school which didn’t lock down for almost a year. It's Kentucky those kids could probably use more than 1 extra year of school.
Most Iowa schools didn’t. Really only Des Moines Public and Iowa City were remote for an extended period of time.Unfortunately a lot of Iowa kids will need another year to make up too...unless they were fortunate to attend a school which didn’t lock down for almost a year.
But back to the eligibility post, that’s preposterous.
Football classifications will be released tomorrow (Friday, March 5th) at noon.
New districts will be released next Friday, March 12th.

Thats good news. However it would be odd but just like them to release the districts right before spring break leaving the coaches and ADs to talk with other schools about their non-district "wish list".
Any word when they will inform everyone on how the playoffs will work? RPI?
Last Cycle they had 8 man give them their wish list, then they said 2 weeks later never mind we just scheduled all your games for you.......See, really, the “wish list” should also depend on how RPI/playoffs work. Is it top 2 district finishers (in 5A/4A/3A) with only a few at-large qualifiers? How does RPI work, how will it affect qualification? Is it top 4 district finishers in 2A/1A, so non-district doesn’t mean *anything* for playoffs? You’d think knowing what the playoff qualification system is would be a prerequisite for deciding who you want for your non-district games.
Their not out. It's comingI just saw a tweet from Jeff Johnson at the CR Gazette saying classifications and district assignments would be out around March 11-12. I like your news about the classes coming earlier than that.
JJ also said it’s been confirmed that CR Washington will be in 4A, not 5A ...
So the newspaper is right. I think he got confused.Their not out. It's coming
That says 2020You have to go under resources, general, classifications under Football.
There are roughly 71 teams labeled as 8 man.

It's under Resources/General/Classifications. It's the 2019/2020 classifications under football. They updated that and didn't rename it 2021I can't find the list, will someone post please
So if these are up to date, how exactly are they going to account for the new Waukee NW?
