In Alabama, that's Disorderly Conduct (Obstructing Traffic), Resisting Arrest and if he has a single mark on him, Assault 2nd (Assault on a LEO).
You could drop Disorderly and add Obstructing Governmental Operations if you like.

Once you realize a cop is gonna throw down, it's time to give up. I'll never understand people that try to resist arrest or fight the cops.

This and they should pass a law that protesters blocking roadways have no legal recourse to being mowed over by someone driving at or under the posted speed limit.
In short, if you’re stupid enough to block a 70 MPH interstate you’ve basically killed yourself.
If you were in a situation where a large group of angry people were blocking the roadway, it doesn't seem unreasonable that you would fear for your safety. Read into that as you see fit.
