Disciplinary Hearing - Bettendorf High Football Student Appeal

Does anyone have anymore information about this? If so please comment below.

Motion by Director Staley, seconded by Director Struck, that the board uphold the administrations decision to impose a penalty on the student. The board recommends the penalty be a one game student suspension to be served at the discretion of the head football coach and the player during the 2016 season.

Ayes: 4 Directors Staley, Struck, Tinsman, Justis
Nays: 3 Directors Pyevich, Trahan, Castro Motion carried 4-3.

I could assume it's related to the kid who punched the kennedy kid in the semi-final game. It was seen clearly on the telecast. As was the same kid ripping the helmet off kids time and time again. As was the same kid intentionally taking out an elderly man working the chains.

Bettendorf's moral code is seriously in doubt with the fact the coaches did nothing to curtail the actions during the game. Now they are considering reversing the disciplinary actions put on the kid, their moral code is seriously on trial here in my opinion.

I remember that. That does make sense. If I am not mistaking you are referring to #43 Keegan Glaus, who is a Senior next year.

You'd know better than me, but I thought he was a jr. this year. Either way, he's a good player, but needs to learn from this.
