Coaching Openings

Could you be any more obtuse?

I wonder why a guy from WB would be sensitive about people attempting to run a program (he's given a great deal to) into the mud (by people outside the program)...??
Odd, when the people in that same community were busy making crap up, telling lies and in general pissin and moaning about a program 8 miles to the west of it, led by possibly their most accomplished football alumnus it was fun and games. Heck there is probably more smoke on this item then what there was back then. Not so fun now is it?

What do people think of co-coaches? Has it worked/not worked other places?
Usually it's a technique used to let an old coach (i.e. North Linn basketball) run up some record that they could no longer achieve on their own. Or, where the administration is too scared to pick a singular head coach from the assistant coaches (i.e. West Branch in '23 after Butch died).

Hinton had Co-Head Coaches for a long time, and they were very successful with that.

Again, I ALWAYS tell the truth.
When I make a statement, I don't worry about what I've already said.

You won't need to fact check me anymore.

We will finally get to find out who was behind the WB mutiny that ran the Nestor family out of town.
Get your trivia team together and head out to the golf course tonight for the announcement. Get a really good team and win the trivia for the night.

Honest question here, did Lance ever have any interest in the job?

Did Marv Cook? I’m guessing no to this one.

Were they contacted about the opportunity?
Contact them? It was an open application process that saw nearly 20 applicants. If they wanted to apply, they could apply like any other person. Lance and CCA are a great match. He will do great there. As for Marv, the WB ship has sailed. He hasn't been connected to the program in years. I wish him well but he wasnt the right person for the job.

Coach Hughes since 2022 has been far more integrated with Bear FB than Marv has since 1988.

Ahhh, the word game. Have to like it. Because there usually isn't any contact during an open application process. It's just 'post it and see who applies' a representative from the school/alumnus/booster probably never reached out to say 'Lance what do you think about the opportunity' same with Marv. I was disappointed that Pine didn't get a response to his application. You know since it was just an open application process. Is Ronnie going to be helping?

Oh, they approach people about coaching. Especially when it helps with transfers...

"He said his father and grandfather, Ronnie Hughes, knew Pedersen well, which factored into his decision.

“They thought it would be a good fit for me, so I just decided to go for it,” he said.

Matt and Ronnie Hughes were assistant coaches last season at Liberty. Ronnie has joined the West Branch staff this season.

“I didn’t even know he was going to be coaching,” Tye said. “I was already about two weeks here when I found out. It wasn’t planned out or anything. But when they approached him about coaching, he was all in.”

Ronnie helped at WB in 2009. I'm sure Butch recruiting 3 year old Tye back then. That's how WB rolls, man.

I'm now 100% done with you, MH. No need worry about getting under my skin for responses ever again.

Ignore button in 3, 2, 1.............

Blame has tried telling you the truth on many occasions over the years. You've chosen to either not believe him or twist it to fit a narrative. So why would I attempt the same?

Try barking up that tree; this one just tapped out.
