Coaching Openings

Haha, sounds like I'm more plugged in than you are. Guess you didn't know about the very public pushback, including from many current player parents. There are posts with very specific information, by people using their real names, expressing real anger about the situation regarding what Blame and his buddies did to the coach. Which is far worse than we've heard about so far. Maybe I'll share some of that later.
But, doesn't sound like you were aware of any of that.

Oh no I know the public push back I get the same West Branch Times you do and I’m in the same Voices of West Branch Facebook group your in 😉. Also I may not be as connected to the football program as I’ve moved away. I do still know people in the know. But please enlighten us with what “you know” or what you have heard outside of the Facebook page.

I’ve shared some info, now it’s your turn. Some very upset people in town.
No it’s not place to spread rumors on the Internet of what I have heard. I like hearing what you report on WB vs what’s actually the truth. Do you have some good accurate info yup, do you stretch the truth and stir the pot oh yeah you do. I’m a WB guy so I won’t say anything on here to fuel hate toward the community or football program. Just hope it turns out good for the kids in the program.

It will be very telling when we see who gets the job...and who they bring back as assistants.
Are they going to reward the angry mob for running a guy out of town?

Some typically vocal people are very quiet. Does the President of the board get a target now since he called out members of the community?

West Branch ran the father out of town, and now the entire family appears to be leaving. Costing us an experienced Iowa Football player.
Thanks a lot guys...

So let me get this straight you think an experienced Iowa football player that started some games last year and played significantly when he didn’t start. Is leaving the Iowa football team because his Dad quit coaching a HS football team 10 miles away because he was ran out of town metaphorically. Man your love for West Branch has no boundaries. Maybe just maybe looking at the secondary at Iowa, and recruits, transfers coming in he was getting feedback about his playing time next year or a position move. If the kid transfers to a college 10-15 miles from where his Dad ends up then maybe you have a leg to stand on.

Dad controversially loses his local job a month ago, and then his son decides to transfer right on the heels of that.
But, you think they are completely unrelated. Ok.

I have no dog in this fight. I would assume you guys are both adults, correct? No offense but I couldn't imagine being an adult and carrying on like you guys do about high school athletics.

Just too much content for you to scroll through otherwise? It's about the only interesting thing going on right now.
Agreed as much as us two adults (Pine is more of a senior citizen) bicker back and forth. We provide a lot of content on the board and we do talk meaningful football during the season. Just this conversation generated more buzz and responses than the last 2 weeks combined. This is a true high school rivalry West Branch and Regina, exactly what high school sports is! I loved this rivalry growing up. Wish there was more of these high school rivalries today!

Agreed.
...btw, I'm no senior citizen. I'm a (somewhat) spry, fairly young (middle aged) man.
Perhaps my vast knowledge makes me seem older than I am.

Tough to beat a dead horse when it’s an ongoing situation. Actually curious if the same crew that ran Nestor out of town would go after another relative newcomer who called them out for it.
If all of a sudden a non native President decides to move on or doesn’t have his contract renewed we will know. As far as the whole ‘I am a supporter of the Bears but not the coach’ …. Not for me to rationalize

Dude, who cares.

Any word on Williamsburg? Apologies if I missed it.

Then why even bring it up?

Either the former coach was a lame duck and the school board president is clueless, or I am clueless and oblivious to the gravity of the scenario.

You make your own rational decision.

I can tell you with 100% confidence: Option A is the correct answer

Seemed like online there were a lot of player parents were upset about what you and others did to the former coach.

Because I am a naturally curious person. Unlike some I have no ill will for WB. The way that people get emotionally involved is chuckle worthy. I tend to stick to facts and questions.

Could you be any more obtuse?

I wonder why a guy from WB would be sensitive about people attempting to run a program (he's given a great deal to) into the mud (by people outside the program)...??
I only know things I've heard from a former WB asst coach. From what I get, Nestor called kids "pussies" and "mother f'ers" on a regular basis. He also let players drive their own car to road games.

Chicago mentality don't play in small town Iowa. Seems like good riddance. Wash, rinse, and start over.
