Does anyone know anything about gamma ray bursts that come from a dying stars that exploded. One has been pummeling the earth for a few years. It is the strongest burst ever recorded on the earth. Some scientist claims that it could be the strongest to ever hit the earth, though how he could figure that I don’t know.

These bursts are energy and while they fool with things like communication they probably have a heat element which could be heating the atmosphere.

I was just curious if anyone knows or knows someone who could have a factual opinion. There are some pretty impressive scientists who think that man made CO2 can’t be causing the heat increase noticed.

I’ve done the radiation heat absorption calculations in the radiation wavelength bands that both CO2 and water operate within. CO2 increase is NOT responsible for the projected heat increase in the atmosphere, just not possible. I think the immense amount of utilized energy and thermodynamic inefficiencies of man made power is far far more the likely culprit. Which is why there are some ambient heat increases but none of the models work. But I think some scientists recognize this…. And CO2 is used behind the scenes as a surrogate with respect to power generation heat releases (combustion)

The heat of the planet is still grossly tied to the radiation heat balance between the sun and earth ….. changing solar activity is far more impactful. I had not heard of the gamma ray burst, but it could be a contributor, but I have no idea into what wavelength band that might be and how much would become thermal

I haven’t the slightest idea what may (or may not) be causing climate changes (assuming there is) but I DO know if there are copious amounts of money and control involved (and there is), you can be reasonably confident the so-called “settled science” being shoved down people’s throats is anything BUT settled.

It’s the same for everyone in a profession ….. you hear some likely bullshite, you go and find out yourself…… if someone told you their +P loads were so good they would disintegrate a water melon into a pink mist, you have to prove that yourself

The left's sad attempt to put the Anthropogenic Climate Change hoax on carbon emissions is the same logic as saying if everyone holds an umbrella it will start to rain. C02 is a miniscule 365 ppm, & methane is so tiny it is measured in parts per billion.

93% of C02 is released naturally from soil and water. Only 7% can be tagged to human activity annually. Stopping ALL human activity would have a virtually zero effect. Further, atomic absorption spectroscopy analysis shows C02 is only capable of absorbing 7% of the infrared electromagnetic spectrum in the 15 micrometer frequency range, meaning it has a very weak greenhouse effect.

Using the same analysis, the greenhouse effect of WATER VAPOR is roughly 850% stronger than C02. There is about 2,100,000% more water vapor in the atmosphere than C02... you do the math. According to physics, water vapor is the sole cause of earth's greenhouse gas effect and C02 is irrelevant. If you want to 'save the planet', get your brain around getting rid of water vapor...right.

Outgassing* is actually causing temps to rise along with C02 levels. The warmer earth gets the more natural C02 is released from water and soil. Rising c02 levels are an effect of natural global warming, not the cause of natural global warming.

Why are we hearing all this bogus climate change hoax? Like someone said above, follow the money:
  • Climatologists are getting millions of $$s for bogus university research
  • Alternative energy subsidies in millions
  • Farmers in ethanol crop subsidies in millions
  • Wall St stands to make trillions in carbon credit trading
  • Gov’ts will get trillions in carbon taxes
  • U.N. will get trillions in carbon credit money to be redistributed to 3rd world countries.
This fits the liberal media's goal of global socialism and global wealth redistribution as well. Lies and more lies...

All valid points, though, the CO2 production % ratios seems somewhat suspect, but the entire premise and points are solid

As a matter of interest the scientists in this field at MIT and Princeton Universities do not agree that man made CO2 from the beginning of time could have caused the temperature increase we are having now.

This reminds me when all the researchers on heart problems met in Switzerland because of the increase in heart problems and presented studies. One dude presented a study on the United States that correlated the large amount of animal fat in their diet caused the big increase in the United States and everybody agreed. so it wa s recommended that everybody quit eating animal fat.

So everybody but me and a few others quit eating animal fat. The dairy farms had a big crisis and many went out of business. McDonalds was picketed With protests because they fried everything in animal because it tested better. some years later this study w as proved wrong. Actually the vegetable fats caused more of .a problem. So everybody w ent back to eating butter.

I have always been wary of this CO2 problem of being a similar hoax.

CO2 has just become the latest strawman since the other 40 years of their nonsense didn't work (Ice Age coming was popular when I was in HS).

There are many years of data where C02 was high and avg temps were low; and vice-versa. The Paris Climate Accord even states that if all participating countries did everything in the accord, there is no evidence this will have the desired effect of -1.5c global temps.

Convincing people to give away their freedoms is the only thing that has worked.

We're assisting. Did they ask for help? That depends on who you ask. Honestly most of the counties in Alabama are helping in one way or another.

We were ready and hoping that they would run our way. But no one ever flees into my county...and I can't quite figure out why? 🤔

Sgt Burkett has clarified that comment and my guess was correct. He meant that there wasn't an imminent threat.

A stupid solution if CO2 isn’t the primary motive force for global warming. Any CO2 capture boondoggles just increases the overall inefficiency of our power cycles thereby INCREASING our overall heat release into the atmosphere
