In 3A- seven teams with two losses. What happens if a bunch of them make it to state with 22-2 records? How does the state sort out teams for pairings if they have the same record. I'm a little fuzzy about this.

Don't worry EastIowa because the boys in Boone have got 3 of these teams in the same district. Then to help, they have added one more in that sub-state.

According to these rankings One of the teams ranked 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th will get to go to state out of Sub-State 1.

What a shame!

You have Williamsburg #1 and they'll be fortunate to beat CCreek...they will not beat FT Madison.

Three top ten teams in the same 4 team district. The forth team is Spencer and they are solid. Nice job Boone!!

I just don't understand how a governing body (IHSAA) can't take some additional time and give a little more thought to what they are doing (when they set the pairings) to the hopes and aspirations of all the coaches, players and their families who are justifiably upset that a possible state title contender (or two) will have to watch the state tourney on TV when a possible less-deserving team may make it to the substate finals or state from an adjoining district(s). It happened last year and it is happening in northwest Iowa in 3A and in substate 4 in 4A this year also. Maybe it is bureaucratic thinking that teams are evenly distributed throughout the state like sugar in a chemical solution. Strong teams are never distributed geographically equally in a state, They are often in clumps here and there. The IHSAA needs to come up with a better geographic/strength formula for picking the districts in the future. But that won't soothe matters in 2015.
