You hate to put a color on it but it's true.

When society pressures law enforcement to back off from policing black communities, it's black citizens who suffer the most. I've seen it firsthand and sometimes it's frustrating while other times it's heartbreaking.

It’s a known fact that the reason a huge disproportionate number to population of Black people in prison is due to crimes against other Black people.

While digging a 7.62 round out of a 76 year old black great grandmothers kitchen wall (for evidence), I apologized to her that it happened and that we were unable to prevent it. She was so sweet and kind and apologized to me that her community put me in the situation where I felt like I needed to.

It was a profound experience...gave me literal goosebumps.
