The season is almost over, and with my promotion at work and a baby on the way, I only made it to one event this year. I am curious how the Sioux City teams will do at districts and at the state tournament. The District in Glenwood seems favorable for the SC teams, but the real question is how they will do at state.
I Think McWillams and Lara have the best shots at making the award stand this season. Lara was impressive at the MRAC tournament (the one event I went to), and it’s a shame Ysquierdo is injured. Otto is an impressive freshman and has a good shot at making it to Des Moines.
North has some quality wrestlers, I think Hoogers, Hansen, Gill, Lozano, and Fuller should qualify, but will any of them make it to the award stand at state? I am also wondering how they are dealing with all the distractions of the season.
West has a shot with Flemister, and maybe Bose.
I haven’t been following the season as closely as years past, but will make my yearly picks, will be interested to hear everyone else’s opinions
