I haven't watched Spirit Lake or ELC since early in the year, until this wknd. ELC is a damn good football team. Seems like they have a lot of team speed, the QB is really athletic has a strong arm. The WR #4 wow he is fast. Catches just about everything thrown his way. He's going to be a handful, I was really impressed. This is going to be a hell of a game. When you go by Bcmoore its a pretty loaded pod so both of these games are going to be really close. Both CLGLR and WL will be on "upset alert". Tough to call it that when its the 1,3,4, and 7th ranked teams by BC. There isn't another pod that's even close, but whatever gotta beat the best to be the best. from what i have heard CLGLR is the team to beat. people from the area have been talking this group up as their championship group. i dont think ELC has the horses to keep with them. its going to be between Waukon and CLGLR this year.

They got to have a great defense. They are undefeated. And they are heavy heavy favorites.

Welp I kind of shit the bed on my predictions this week. Congrats to West Lyon on the win haven't watched the game yet but sure looks like a tried and true West Lyon win. Control the ball and play good defense.
The game in Rocky was a good game. All the weakness's I saw on tape of ELC played out tonight. Not all that stout up front and can be undisciplined at times. Lions controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball for most of the game. First half was a tight physical game. The 2nd half the boys up front got it done and just wore them out. Your kids a hell of a competitor MaizeandBluee just need to get some dudes in the weight room to block for him.
Sets up a hell of a rematch next week should be another fun one in Rocky.

Everything you just said I also knew before the game. He hasn't had no blocking since pee wee football. Just wondering why we kept running up the gut when my son had like 2 nice long runs going to the outside. But not shocked by that it done happen all season.Number 10 was my son too. He barely got the ball too. Yeah very undisciplined. Didn't fill the gaps. Very very out coached too. Good luck the rest of the way sorry-the game. Wasn't more competitive after the half.
Maybe rematch next year. But I'm not sure my boys will be playing for Estherville next year. Thinking about moving back down south. Or spirt lake. They seem like they develop players real well and I know they done sent guys D 1. Before.
LOL you are the perfect example of what is wrong with high school sports today. ELC had an outstanding season and you just shit all over them. Not even 24 hours after the finish of the game. There are kids who poured their heart and soul into football and you try to negate it immediately.
And a perfect example of why we should encourage our youth to focus on their academics and the English language.
