Hurricane Helene

Unfortunately Helene is set to become a monster in the next 36-48 hours. Any of you along the coast or southern GA need to be ready.

Also probably going to be some bad flooding in Georgia, particularly in the mountains of GA/NC/TN. Could be 8-12” (with locally higher amounts) of rain fall in about 36 hours.

On a much lesser note, Bama/UGA looks to be largely unaffected on its current course.

Class A Season Outlook

Here is sort of my update on predictions

District 1
I think that Gehlen has shown that they are the top dog and win the district pretty easily. MMC-RU vs S-O is probably for the two spot this week.
1. Gehlen
2. MMC-RU
3. Sibley-Ocheyedan
4. HMS

District 2
It is still West Hancock then Saint Ansgar, I do think Newman is the the clear number 3 as well.
1. West Hancock
2. Saint Ansgar
3. Newman
4. Lake Mills

District 3
I still like Wapsie, I'll put NP ahead of South Winn for #2, then it will be North Butler or North Tama.
1. Wapsie
2. Nashua Plainfield
3. South Winn
4. North Butler

District 4
The four playoff qualifiers are basically decided, and then I think there is a gap between the top 3 and Bellevue, North Linn with the win over Starmont is in the lead right now. But I could see a 3 way tie.

3. Starmont
4. Bellevue

District 5
Lisbon vs Pekin for the title this Friday night, I still like Columbus and Danville to follow.

District 6
Madrid has basically wrapped up the district with the wins over Mount Ayr and Lynnville Sully.

AC/GC looks very dominate, then Earlham seems to be the #2, Riverside and I like SCC to finish #4

Courage…a novel concept.

On one hand, we have a courageous candidate who (against better judgment IMO) chose to debate not one but two opponents in hostile and biased forums, took a would be assassin’s bullet which was an inch from ending his life and then stands up to encourage supporters, escapes a second assassination attempt, yet continues to campaign publicly as though nothing happened.

And then there’s his opponent, who refuses press conferences or unscripted interviews and will not debate on FNC with probably the least biased hosts (Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum)…such courage 🙄 and the world is watching America…and it’s a VERY dangerous world, THINK before you vote…our future depends on it.
