Nice work Gator….😂

$30 million for crack pipes

Dumbass….😂

Oh, and (as usual) you're an idiot if you think 30 million dollars is going to crack pipes. It's a fraction of a fraction in a massive program to combat infectious diseases that will lessen the spread to non-drug users. Not to mention, it was NOT aimed at the Black community. I know nuance is lost on people whose thinking is as deep as a puddle:

While the kits reportedly aim to reduce the risk of infections for people who smoke these substances with glass pipes, the Harm Reduction funding can also help with the following:

  • Infectious diseases testing kits (HIV, HBV, HCV, etc.);
  • Medication lock boxes;
  • FDA-approved overdose reversal medication(as well as higher dosages
  • now approved by FDA);
  • Safe sex kits, including PrEP resources and condoms;
  • Safe smoking kits/supplies;
  • Screening for infectious diseases (HIV, sexually transmitted infections,
  • viral hepatitis);
  • Sharps disposal and medication disposal kits;
  • Substance test kits, including test strips for fentanyl and other synthetic
  • drugs;
  • Syringes to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases;
  • Vaccination services (hepatitis A, hepatitis B vaccination); and
  • Wound care management supplies.

...This was just one of around 20 components of the grant program and far from its most prominent or important one, despite being the primary focus of outraged news reports. The purpose of the program was to reduce harm and the risk of infection among drug users, not to advance racial equity, although that was a secondary consideration.

It's a pretty progressive approach to stopping the spread of infectious diseases. You can debate that approach all you want, but what is no longer up for dispute is the mountain of evidence that Black communities have born a more significant brunt to infectious disease outbreaks in this country, whether users or not.

I know you are eager to play the race card on this part of the program (which is telling), but the program is not targeting any race over another. The cutting down on infectious diseases, that are particularly felt in the Black community, was listed as a secondary benefit.

The race card was played by putting crack pipes in brown neighborhoods, stupid

Statistically, African Americans are 3.5 times more likely to smoke crack than whites.
So who is this program aimed at then?

You're confusing 2022 with about 1985.
Indeed, it’s also a monumentally asinine approach.
If you want to argue a potential "enabling" angle, that's fine. But its clear that if you want to cut down on infectious disease, you try to tackle all avenues, no matter how un-PC the solution.
Bless your heart. You are one retarded individual.
Always the deep thoughts and the solid, well-reasoned rebuttals. 😆

So there's an acceptable dollar amount for the federal government to spend on crack pipes?

...and you aren't the idiot in this conversation?

It's not new and it has never worked. It has been tried MANY times. Most of the needles you would step on if you were in San Francisco were free for users ftr.

Simmer down, sassy. The next independent thought you have will be your first.
