We were supposed to play Grandview Christian in a doubleheader with Ankeny Christian/Madrid at North Polk tonight. Pretty sure all schools involved are closed. The district final is scheduled for Thursday at 7pm, so I'm wondering if they'll reschedule on a Wednesday, or push both games to Thursday/Friday. The substate games are scheduled for Saturday. I wouldn't think they'd want to do 3 days in a row.
Are any games Tuesday the 20th not cancelled?

From what I've heard, GVC vs. Baxter game is still on tonight. I don't think it's mandatory to cancel games if school is cancelled during postseason play like it is during the regular season?
Hmm, hadn't heard that. It would make sense if they think the roads will be cleared by then.
Well now GVC has been informed that the games tonight are postponed until tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
Don't know. Honestly, if we can beat GVC, we could play the district final game immediately after and I'd be cool with it.
As far as moving those games because of playing on Wednesday I doubt it because substate is Saturday night, so if you're trying to prevent playing back to back nights then you end up with the same scenario Friday-Saturday.
I'm just puzzled as to why games were postponed. Iowa DOT map says highways are fine. Roads (except for residential side streets) seem fine. I'm guessing maybe host schools are worried about people slipping and falling in their parking lots?
It almost has to be because of host schools not wanting the possibility of injuries. If it was a normal home team host, it might be different. But all of the moving parts of 4 fan bases moving in and out, they may not want to chance it. I can't say I blame them too much, though it would be better to get the games going sooner.
