Even as a somewhat biased DB fan I still go with Specht. Not because of skill but because of position. You don't see teams like the Titans picking a lineman to rebuild an organization because security comes from a quarterback more-so than a lineman. Each are likely the best athlete at their position in the class, but ask any coach if he would rather have JJ Watt or Tom Brady. It is an easy decision. Just my thoughts!
I think the mom in the move " The Blind Side " pretty much summed this one up when she said " every housewife knows that each month the first check you write pays the mortgage ( Specht ), the second check you write pays the insurance ( Smith ) ". But it's pretty darn cool that any lineman is even in this discussion because it's usually all about QB's and RB's. The boys with a hand in the dirt get darn little credit and most any mom of a lineman will agree. I really enjoyed watching both of these athletes yesterday ! Good luck to both teams next week !
I will add that Coach Yoder has ALWAYS been great about giving a lot of credit to his lineman !
