Dabo is the opposite of "the process." He recruits like a MF'er and then he's a glorified cheerleader who gets his super talented guys motivated to play in the few big games they have to play. Duke wasn't one of those Games.

Also, when he had his staff together forever, those guys could actually coach the players up. That ship has sailed.
