How did the high school football season go overall?
“It was a great season, being able to bring our school’s football team back to the Dome was an amazing opportunity. We obviously wanted to win those last two games but in the end it was an incredible season.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I’m involved in both soccer and track so continuing those hoping to make state appearances again in both respective sports. I am also doing AAU basketball so I have a pretty full schedule. I try to not let that stop me from getting in reps to whether that’s with playing pass with teammates or in the backyard with my family getting coached in specific aspect.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We are returning a lot of guys, we do lose big pieces of our team that will be a big loss but also we have a lot of guys working hard in the weight room and we have a lot of guys confident in themselves to make that jump to starters. I think next year will be another successful year and hopefully we can get back to the dome.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We have a pretty strong conference, all the teams have good players and good enough to win games. Clarksville gave us a tough time last year and I bet the same thing this next year. Also Janesville had a young hard nosed group last year and they return big players for their team so we have to watch out for them. We play a lot of good teams and don’t want to overlook anyone or be too confident.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“We played a lot of good players this past year and many gave us trouble. I think Appleby is a great player and a hard runner, he will have a good line to play behind so he will be tough. Also Burns from BGM had a really good year and a lot of accomplishments and stats, he will be hard to stop.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Ever since I was a little kid I’ve wanted to play sports in college, I think the main sports I would play are football and soccer but I’m mainly [leaning] toward football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Recruiting has been low, I am only a sophomore so I can’t talk a lot but I have been reaching out and trying to get in contact with coaches.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“See above.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t made a whole lot of recruiting and visits, it has been few but I am excited to get out and talk more with teams. I can’t wait for my junior year and reach out more.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I intend on going to a lot of football camps this summer and spring and showcase myself.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up here in Iowa I was always a Hawkeyes fan. I really admired Cooper Dejean and how he played, and it always made me feel good when people would compare me to him. But my dream school would be to be an Oregon Duck, I think their school is cool and I like their uniforms.”
